Abstract art breaks free from depicting the visible world, instead, using forms, colours, lines, and textures to convey emotion, energy, or a pure aesthetic experience. Unlike realistic art, it doesn’t imitate life—it reimagines it by inviting viewers to interpret meaning through personal perspective. I find art in abstraction the most challenging of all visual arts. And I love a challenge.
Abstract art is a ‘visual language of feeling’ whether bold and chaotic or serene and minimal. There’s no “wrong” way to make or interpret it!
